Rabat - The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) is pursuing a lawsuit against actress Loubna Abidar, actress in the controversial film Much Loved, for her public comments regarding her alleged mistreatment by the police.

In a video posted on her Facebook page, Abidar said, “I was attacked and when I went to the police they did not help me. They told me, ‘Finally, they beat you.”

She added that no doctor was willing to receive her at clinics and refused to treat her wounds.

The DGNS denounced the actress’ statements which are, “estimated as untrue, false and prejudicial to our officials."

Hours later, Casablanca Police Prefecture services denied this version. They categorically rejected the actress’ claims and said they acted with professionalism, adding that the heroine of Much Loved refused to sign the minutes and did not give information on the place and circumstance in which the aggression took place.

The directorate’s lawyer filed the lawsuit to the public prosecutor of the Court of First Instance in Casablanca, the website Telquel reported.
