Rabat - Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy has praised the "efficient" cooperation between Morocco and Spain in the field of migration and the fight against illegal immigration.
Speaking at the Euro-African summit on migration, held on November 11-12 in Valetta, the Spanish PM hailed the excellent cooperation between the two countries, which crated a momentum that "has yielded real results."
Rajoy also stressed the commitment of his country to develop partnerships with countries of origin and transit in order to better manage the phenomenon of illegal immigration.
"This mode of action proves to be the best to save lives and fight human trafficking networks," he pointed out.
The Spanish official also suggested expanding the number of African countries benefiting from the $ 1.8 billion Emergency Trust Fund, set up by the European Union for Africa.
